    adding a boot switch

i want to add a simple hard wire boot switch to my pc, a basic 3 way rocker switch that will supply power to only either A or B hard drive so that my pc can have 2 versions of windows totally separate from each other.

Before I do this is there a better way or is this it?

Might check out these possibilities, I'd prefer the front panel models that fit like the Optical drive:
    Robot Check
I have one computer with an front adapter that allows insertion of a SATA drive. As with a switch shutting down to do it is important, not hot-swappable.

Yep, its easy. Wipe both drives for a clean slate.

Install first operating on first disk with 2nd disk disconnected. On install a good idea to change disk name, say 'Win7x32 OS1'

Once installed turn off and connect 2nd disk up. Next go into Bios and disable both disks from booting but make sure CD Rom or USB boots first so you can install your next OS.

Install next OS now. On Windows setup you should be able to recognise which drive is which because you named the first one. This stops you wiping over the wrong disc because they might look exactly the same.

Okies once 2nd OS installed, reboot, go back into Bios and select first boot option, make sure 1st disk is priority and disable cdrom and 2nd disk. Now when you boot up, the first disk will have multiple dual boot options, sorted

    Good luck
