Thoughts on This Build Combo

What is your overall budget, and do you already have a GPU? The 2600 is solid and my old on is working fine for my friend still. But it is not an APU and will not give you video out on that board without a GPU. Do you have parts your carrying over like a PSU ect?

Yeah that should be fine.

I prefer Kingston RAM, 2x8GB and 3200MHz Cl14 would be ideal.

QVL lists are notoriously poor, there are literary thousands of combinations of different memory chips and control chips on them and list would be mile long. That's why they don't test all of them. It's enough to find a RAM that has same values as any of those from QVl..

I lost faith in Crucial..(for various reasons) but as long as you get 3200 or max the MB supports you will be fine. I have no idea how Ryzen handles RAM latency tho'.

I looked at reviews of the Ryzen 5 3400G with graphics and it benchmarks pretty good. What if I deleted the Evga Geforce GT640 from this build, and went with the 3400G and upped my ram from 2x4gb to 2x8gb maybe with a better timing. How well would that work? From what I've seen in videos, the 3400G's graphics side uses 2gb of ram from the system whereas the GT640 has its own 2gb built into it.

As graphic goes, 3400g has graphic power of approximately Gt 1050(Ti) and that's certainly better than Gt 640.
Problem is that 3400g has 2 cores and 4 threads less than 2600.
