I am beginning to wonder if that particular diode is faulty. It doesn't change much and when it does its from like 80c to 79c which could be electricity in the motherboard fluctuating.

    How could you!

The pwm/DC switcher in QFan confuses me. I'm never show whether the black or the grey part of the switcher is the enable. Ive set the fans that are controllable on the motherboard to silent but its still a bit noisy.

You aren't alone there mate. I get confused on that too. I found setting them manually to where I feel comfortable with the noise is good. Then let them ramp up at High temps

I'm not familiar with iCue, have you tried HWinfo to see what it shows?

Unless you don't want to know the real story. The video isn't just about Asus

That said, Steve is rather long winded (and technical)

    Peace
He is, but I like him better than all the others.

    Hi,
Thankfully the asus rep summed up GN's videos in a single line so watching the videos weren't needed
Second line after the straight forward fix was weird though

Your missing the overall point, to apply the logic across different hardware listen to the long story, As Drew said, not everyone has ASUS.

The guy does go on at times, but he knows what he is talking about. He isnt a script reader trying to be funny, Not everyone has your skillset Mike, and it helps to hear the story

Thrash is just arguing to have last say. No matter what we say there's going to be a rebuttal so....

Well, he does have a valid point. No need to poke the bear and call him out... maybe zip from the start sometimes

We all have our opinions , and need to share our knowledge

    Hi,
Funny I'm not arguing I'm simply stating I don't need to watch a 10-30... minute testing video when a few words can sum up what settings need to be changed to fix the problem

Maybe you need the entire story I do not

Also on written product reviews, I skip the pages for testing, and read the beginning and then skip to conclusion.
For videos and written stuff, if I need I will see the whole thing, Like I I'm going to buy or use what's being shown, but for general knowledge, just the conclusion is enough.

I got two Phanteks cases, my 2nd case is just like the one you bought. 1st case is bigger. Steve told me long time ago they are one of the best cases made. Built like a tank.
I have a 6950x and Suprisingly the airflow allowed a 4.5 Ghz clock but kept it at 4.4
