Hi,
Anyone interested in the insides of the Heatkiller 4 Pro/ Optimus "Foundation my favorite" 60.us less than the Signature water block mine was a demo not 180.us
Got all three
Design of the foundation and signature is interesting in the difference in center o-ring size...
Foundation having a much larger area that is pressurized because water does have to go under the o-ring meaning these are also more restrictive than the heatkiller or ek evo & velocity too for that matter.
Heatkliller 4 pro has the two horizontal straight o-rings to direct water along the cooling fins thus nothing else to slow down flow.
Between the three foundation wins by 3c over the heatkiller 4 pro blender opendata long test and 3c cooler than the sig demo block too mostly because of it's cold plate bow if you notice where the scars on the cold plate are this is what causes the bow
I lapped it down notice it has raw brass showing so I could alter it's bow because it really didn't fit the top of the chip very well.
Haven't tested it lapped yet.
Foundation also is 60.us cheaper in price than the signature
Heatkiller 4 pro is depending on where you get it about 80.us if locally from PPC or maybe amazon but only in nickle cold plate
If you want a all copper price goes up

Optimus Signature V2 CPU Block Review | TechPowerUp
Picked up a Samsung 2TB SATA SSD drive (860 EVO) to replace my Samsung 1TB 850 EVO SSD. Need a bit more space for local backups since I found Acronis 2018 doesn't like restoring backup files from a NAS drive.
I got the drive for $279 - a far cry from the $650 I paid for the 850 EVO 2TB drive in 2017![]()
^ If it makes you feel any better, I paid nearly $400 back in the day for an 80GB intel x25-m g2. About 10 years ago.
