    They are just getting rid of the user management interface bundled with the driver. The interface is now a store app. They will still provide drivers though I am not sure under what name.

    And unless one uses Intel RAID or has OPTANE, you don't need the UI at all.
    So I find this a good move.

    Might go for an AMD this time around. Or upgrade my 8086k to a 9900K. Don't need more cores - at this point it requires too much in cooling and only benefits multi-threaded benchmarks.
