Fair enough. I've always been Intel too but these new Ryzen chips look pretty interesting. We need to see real reviews.

Changing over to AMD requires a lot of work ....new motherboard ...maybe even new memory.....not interested. Not a cheap changeover

Yeah, I almost NEVER upgrade components. I just build a whole new rig.

My son had a core i5 that I took when he build a ryzen 3800 build. I have plans to build myself a new box in Feb/Mar and wont touch anything in the i5 box. It will just become a spare/lab machine.

I have flip flopped over the years between Intel and AMD. Right now, AMD has great CPUs and PCI-E 4, so if I were to build today it's an AMD Ryzen everytime.

Not true only a Board and the CPU ryzen has memory issues but it's not set in stone
People use all the same ram as they did in their intel builds that's not a issue i bought new memory to jump on the RGB train lol but 3600mhz memory or even DCOP will get you there

I'll stick with just getting a new GPU ...which won't be cheap either.
RTX 3080 or the 3090 Evga
