I dont consider delidding as cheating, rather thermal management. My CPU needs to be delidded so I can push it harder. Worf was very successful with his delid and I have been considering to do it myself

So glad I did delid my CPU even for the results of running at only 4.5 GHz with 1.24v with a off set of -0.010

The best part though is, look at the max OC column in the Sky Lake one, with air and not de-lidded I beat most of them, and my temps are manageable to the point where actually lower overclocks give me higher temps, which I still haven't figured out why

Can not get my CPU over 4.8 with adaptive without it wanting to dull the lights in my street. I could fiddle around with the setting to achieve adaptive success but manual mode is quick for me

That is what my rig does too....so I stay at x47 Unless I get real bored and start to play again. Going to get Kaby Lake sometime this summer thou.
