AIO Water Cooler - Pull air into case or exhaust air out of case

So I'm installing AIO cooler, Corsair.

Their instructions have you pulling air through rad as an intake into case. This would work fine on my case as the top of case has filter the entire length. (Phanteks Enthoo Primo).

Would those that use these coolers agree?

Or should hot (warm) air be exhausted out of case after being passed over rad?

    Thanks

    Hello Ken,

I like to push air through the radiator and out the top of the case. This way the you don't have hot air blowing into the case.

My fans are on top of my radiator mounted to the top of my case. They blow inward, pushing air through the radiator and then exhaust out the back of the case. My feeling is that the whole purpose of the CPU cooling radiator is to cool the CPU. The most efficient way to do that is with the coolest air flowing through the radiator and the coolest air is likely outside the case. My case exhaust fan is right there at the back edge of my radiator, so I doubt there is much warm air blowing into the rest of the case and all the way down onto the graphics cards, it should just be going right out my exhaust fan.

Look at like this....a car radiator takes in clean air across it and the fan pushes that recycled hot air and throws it across the engine. where dissipates and exists out the bottom of the engine bay.

Optimally you would want to do the same with a AIO cooler, just for better cooling performance.

    Hi,
    Always intake through rads.

Shawn's setup is better out the top because his as exhaust out the back it would blow straight at him.

Related question, does it matter if you pull or push air through the radiator? Corsair seems to recommend always pushing it through, hence my setup of fans between the top of the case and radiator.

And don't forget that where air goes so goes dust.

My Corsair is setup same as Brink's. I might add that I run the box with a positive flow inside, meaning, there are 2 12 cm fans blowing into the front, 2 14 cm fans blowing in the side, the rad is on top with the 2 12 cm fans pushing out, and 1 12 cm blowing out the back. All the intakes have filters. Very little dust at all is ever in the case.
My specs are below. the screeny is Corsair's link (the fan and temp sensors are duplicated)
