Thanks to AMD, Intel dropped $1000 off the new Cascade Lake 18 core

I bought the Intel warranty plan on my 7980xe. I don't think AMD has a similar plan, at least not that I am aware of.

Looks like the middle of February before more 10 series hitting stores

I read Intel actually does refunds within one year of purchase
Might inquire about that one
This replacement 9940x is garbage way worse than the first one.
Second is more like a 9900x only really 10 cores worth beans.

Optimus ultimately beat heatkiller by 3c on lowest max core reading and 2c on cpu package
Color me impressed image also showing best mounting for temps
After doing some measurements
Optimus has a 3/4" longer finned area plus 3/16" wider finned area than heatkiller 4 pro does.
