Got my work cut out for me here too. Temps were creeping up pretty good, and getting a little bit of memory artifacting on the last 2 screens.
Core: 1524
Memory: 2040 (Samsung...should clock MUCH higher than this)
The samsung memory on my 980 was not defaulting to the proper voltage. The classified voltage tool would read mem V at 1.35 when it should have been at default of 1.6. When I made the v adjustment it clocked much much higher. Not sure if you have same issue.
Also unlike core V, moving mem V higher at room temps was no problem. It was only when playing with core V and core settings that temps would start to soar. But i am sure you knew that. :)
Classy Voltage tool here if you do not already have it...

Yeah, I've got it, and played with it a little bit. Not a whole lot. I decided to devote some time this weekend to reading about it. I'll probably not test a whole lot, as that "sweet spot" will change as soon as it's under water.
Bought another 980ti Classy yesterday and got another block on the way too. I figure....if I don't end up liking the cards, I can always use the step up to get a couple of base 1080s...sell them and get either the FTW or the Classy. lol, I hate reference cards.
Yeah, same here. Not buying reference 1080, waiting for the cards you can play with the voltages. Not gonna limit myself with reference cards. :)
