Have you got the power limit slider at 124% in the PX1 software Paul? Where are you getting the 310W reading? Pretty sure I can pull 370W in this one, I'll see what else I can think of.
Yeah slider maxed out at 124 Kol. Using gpuz to measure the power whilst benchmarking. I set it to show the maximum and it only hits 310w.
It's performing fairly well but my ROG Strix would hit way more watts.

That's a change in policy then. I called them a couple of years ago and was told "That's why we give you 2 BIOS" They said as long as one of the BIOS is stock, they don't care. They must have changed, but that hasn't ever stopped anyone. Just backup the stock bios.
Interesting Steve as they were asking how on the Evga forums, and nobody had any answers ....and as far as backing up your existing bios, I would love to know what app does this myself.

Are you referring to the bios update it does when you first run the precision x1 software Mike? There is an easy way to get it to do it again.

I never looked into updating or backing up a gpu bios, so I am learning all of this today. There is a utility made by the folks that make GPU-Z that restores the bios files. NVFlash ....

Yeah Nvflash is the way to go with all gpu bios stuff.
You can also force precision x1 to do the initial update again by shutting down your pc and disconnecting power cord and holding power button for 30 seconds. Then run precision x1 and it will do the first update again. Could be handy for getting the bios back to original maybe.
