Great stock score Kol. I'm looking to switch my ram to G.Skill and my GPU to either the Strix, FTW3 or Zotak Extreme. I'm in Mexico right now for work for a few years as I manage a subsidiary from a Canadian company here. (travel between Canada and Mexico). They are hard to find here but I found a few providers. I'm also opening a small PC hardware store soon as a side hobby beside my main job here. It's not like I'm just throwing money in the water I'll have plenty of stuff to play with with the store.

    Anyway I digress.

Can't wait to see your OC'ed numbers. Also, that card, does it sag with horizontal setting without a brace? Looking straight from your pictures. 12" long (giggity). I measured my case and it's gonna be close to the 360MM rad. Just curious as I'm an Asus fan but also an EVGA fan.

    Post these results asap!! :)

    Hi Brawndo,

What's the reason for wanting to switch your Asus 2080 Ti? I didn't look at the Strix 2080 Ti but I did look at the Zotac and I would say that is in the same ball park as the EVGA FTW3. You might want to look at build quality differences, performance, looks etc. The Zotac Amp Extreme wasn't actually available in NZ.

The new EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 is very heavy! You don't want to drop on something. Surprisingly there is little sag without a brace but I believe the sag starts to happen over time as the card heats up, PCB warp I think it's call it. I have a cheap brace from Amazon but it is weak metal and the weight of this card causes it to flex a little and is not completely level. Works for now but I want to get this bad boy: Mnpctech Single GTX 1080 Ti GPU Support Bracket, Non-Reference, Black

Yeah the card is also very long, definitely take measurements! With no front rad I have a bit of breathing room. This EVGA card is really beautiful once you have it, I think you would like it. Good luck with your future endeavors too, sounds interesting.

Edit: Of course, yes I will turn on the overclocking soon, I'm just waiting for my monitor to return this week.

Thanks for the reply. I get bad overclocking numbers and I'm OCD. My card is super fine for regular use but when benchmarking, I hate that I can't reach the numbers of the FTW3 or Strix hehe. I reach power limits too quick and I lost the GPU lottery, crashes after +150. I've rebooted so many times tweaking I lost count, and it's not my first build so it's not like i'm a total noob. I guess I'm crazy. It's not about beating people scores it's just about owning the best components with all the money I spent on that build. That's about it hehe.

Fair enough! I've never really done Asus cards so have no experience. I've been EVGA for a while and for the most part everything about their company and the quality of their products is very good. Asus customer service can be a bit a more difficult while EVGA are said to have the best. They know their products and are very good to communicate any issues with. I also like that I can express RMA with EVGA, I have no experience with other companies doing that, especially in NZ.

I don't know what you spent on the Asus dual OC but if you can find the extra the EVGA or Zotac cards would be great choices.
