Thanks but the board says my score is 5351, but it was 5622!
Anyway, I've attached new score of 5704.
Can I ask you guys a question? I'm confused by the whole GPU clock speed thing.
My card is a factory overclocked to 1650 MHz Palit OC Gaming Pro. I've attached a screen shot of various software's reporting of the speed after overclocking with Afterburner a bit.
    1) MSI Afterburner says 2025 MHz
    2) Heaven says 2265 MHz and
    3) 3DMark Time Spy says 1422 MHz (1350 MHz)
Can anyone explain that to me?
    Thanks.
    Hi imacken

The 1650MHz is the advertised speed of your card. The higher speed readings shown in the benchmarks are caused by NVIDIA Boost. It is a feature that allows the card too boost beyond it's stock speed. As the GPU core temperature increases the boost speed is automatically lowered to keep the core temperature from increasing to a point that will force it to thermal throttle. Each benchmark uses a different method to determine the maximum speed.

Heaven sometimes show the maximum reading for my 1070ti as 2138MHz when the card is cold, but any runs there after it will show 2100MHz as the maximum.

Thanks for that. I still don't fully get it though.
Surely the 2080 Ti has a base clock of 1545 MHz with various boost clock speed advertised, 1650 in my case.
So, why would Time Spy report 1422 MHz (1350 MHz), and why are different apps reporting different frequencies when running the same task?

The 1350MHz reading is the Base clock speed of your graphics your. The 1422MHz is most properly a reading logged while the card was boosting.

But the GPU can (and does) go up to 2200 MHz under boost, so why is Time Spy not using that?

The maximum boost speed cannot be maintained if the temperature thresholds of NVIDIA Boost is exceeded. My 1070ti downclocks 13MHz each time the core temperature increases with 10°C. When I run benchmarks I set the GPU fans and the case intake fans to maximum to help keep the GPU core temperature as low as possible to maintain boost speed.

    46°C

    -13MHz when 47°C is reached. Heaven Benchmark-screenshot-42-.png

Thanks again. When I monitor during the tests, the temp is not going over 74 degrees, which is well within the maximum allowed, which is 88 degrees.

With Turing and Pascal based Nvidia cards, just about anything over 56°C will down clock, or, drop core voltage.
