This pleases me a lot! I did stuff most people wouldn't dare to do to get this score which involved taking my GPU apart and changing the thermal paste. It now runs a max of 50C during Heaven and will run 2050Mhz for the full bench without downclocking once from that. I think I am crazy!
Interesting. Did you go with liquid metal? I've heard that can get messy.

I attempted to change the thermal paste on my 1080 Ti and ended up breaking one of the delicate RGB connector wires. EVGA were kind enough to replace it and I'm cautious as to whether I would do that again. On the other hand I'm considering putting one of those AIO EVGA water coolers on next summer, lol.

Great score Paul. All of us who have known you for a while have always known you were crazy. Anybody who would run 1.9V through a CPU and fry it has to be crazy. The only reason your GPU still works is because Nvidia won't let you run 3V through it.
    Great score.

Yep and you have to be very careful and have nerves of steel lol. I used it very sparingly and took a long time spreading it really thin. I will change it back to regular thermal paste within the next month or so before I upgrade.

Err yeah, I can't argue with that. Let's not talk about it

OK after going thru all that hard work of putting it back together, which is much harder than taking it apart, WHY do it again just to change the thermal paste?? That should last forever.

I would prefer it to have the standard looking stuff on it in case the new owner ever takes it apart or has to rma it.
I will sell it to partly fun the next upgrade.

Ok of course its your choice Paul, but getting a Good 1080Ti ftw3 these days is the luck of the draw, older ones are better. Also when you go to sell it check out the prices they are getting for new one....some over 1000.00 us dollars You card is worth a lot of money.... My new 1080Ti can't match my 2 year old card....both exactly the same.

Yeah, I won't be selling it until the next gen Nvidia stuff is released so in the summer hopefully. More than happy with it right now.
