    That does look nice Marcus.
I to would like a better fan/temp control for OC my sys, preferably software w/o all the extra wires.
    Hi Hemimax,
    Thanks for the kind remarks.
All the wires is a bit of a bummer. Lots of small fiddly wires\connections in the back of my case to run the fans.
I am though getting the benefits of having the Noctua D15s and 8 case fans:
Yesterday I stressed the system a bit more running Cinebench 23 in both single and multi core mode and got Handbrake to encode a video (CPU running at 95 - 100% on all cores for 18 minutes).

Ambient temperature was 20 degrees Celsius. The minimum CPU temperature for Ryzen 5900x was 29 and the maximum during the video encode was 73 (all temps Celsius).

Ah, so you are using their controller as well. One thing that has held me back is that the controller apparently connects to the motherboard fan header with only 1 wire - the PWM wire for a bypass mode, so you can control the fans by temperature. No rpm return wire is implemented, so you can't monitor the rpm (and your motherboard might not even recognize it). Is this how you have yours hooked up and have you run into any issues? Looks like you have them set manually in the controller though. I guess another option is to connect the fans directly to the motherboard and use the controller only for the RGB.
To get the hub\controller for the UNI Fans, it is included with both the 120mm three pack and 140mm two pack.
For anyone who wants find out more about these fans go here:
    UNI FAN SL120 / SL140 - Daisychainable Fan (lian-li.com)

There is a setting in the Lian-LI software to allow control the fans via the BIOS (dependent on the make\model of motherboard of course).
Also I did a reasonable amount of research about setting up case fans (i.e. placement, positive vs negative flow etc.) as a result I'm using positive flow .

For anyone who wants more information on case air flows go here for a good overview:
How to Manage Your PC’s Fans for Optimal Airflow and Cooling (howtogeek.com)

Thanks again, that is nice what Lian did about the wiring, wish they would address the software speed control by temp.

I just got another system project, albeit it's a long-in-the-tooth setup, but Windows 10 Pro 20H2 runs smoothly like on my Ryzen systems!

The third one is in my sig. I can put in a discrete video card if I want. I got this at a local business. There's also still more slots for DDR3 SDRAM. I was amazed how Windows flies, even when not the latest and greatest.
