The optical drive is an internal drive powered by the pc like the caddy & power for the usb hub is just 12v so thought it was best to use switches to preserve the life of my components.
Also, the Sata caddy connects to the PC through a Sata to eSata 2 meter cable connected to Sata port 0 so I can use this as an external hard drive if I wanted to.
That's wild and I approve. I used to do something similar back in the day but without a nice fancy case for it. EDIT: you might be a good contender to build a NAS lol.
Actually any cam will do a good job with the right lighting. Lighting is the most important element in photography. :)
His lighting was dramatic and hits the sweet spot of the image.
