Those shots look great Drew, I didn't know anyone really changed the OEM stuff much. I do it on my client's machines and only my main machine.
That's my system badrobot quoted. The case is a Cooler Master H500M and does come with a HDD mount cage, but since I don't have HDD's in my system I removed it. But even if the cage was installed you wouldn't see it because it sits behind the power supply cover.
As for mounting SSD, you just screw pegs into the SSD's and mount them to certain parts of the case. You can see one of the SATA SSD's mounted in the front and the other two mounted in the back. Also have two NVMe drives.
This video shows off the case really well. Ignore the "complaints" though cause I fond none of them to be an annoyance or issue including cable management (note my build images in system specs)... and my board is an EATX board
That said, I did modify the top radiator/fan bracket so I could mount the fans to the bottom side of the radiator because there isn't enough top clearance to mount both the 280mm radiator and its two 140mm fans below the bracket with an EATX board installed. Probably a tight fit for ATX as well.
Thanks. I love the way the case shows off my build. I'm also using the mesh front panel for better air flow. In fact's it's why I bought the case.
Nice setup. What's the audio equipment? I see a tubed amp?
Anyway, I still have my i7-4790K system though it's dismantled as I've got other systems up and running. I'm short a power supply (and perhaps a larger capacity SSD drive) if I wanted to put it back together.
Here it is inside the Phanteks case before it was replaced by my i7-7700K system shown in my system two specs.
Thanks. This i7 is still plenty for my needs. :)
Ans yeah it's a tube amp.
The audio amp is just a generic amp. Nothing fancy. I just wanted a physical knob for volume control. PC audio goes through the amps, then to the speakers. The amp is also bluetooh capable, so I can use the same set of speakers for the TV behind me which is perfect because I'll just turn around and the speakers are behind me while watching TV or playing games. :)
