Decided to rebuild frankin-puter once more, we'll see about a new case maybe for x-mas, one with proper cable management as this one really doesn't. Anyhow, here she is;
Case: Cooler master tower, since my early W7 days, maybe even XP.
CPU: AMD Ryzen RX5 3600
Cooler: Corsair H60 - fan set up behind rad drawing air out.
Ram 32 gigs (2x16) G Skill Flare X
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 Armor 8 gb gddr5
MB: MSI b450 A Pro Max
Windows Boot Drive: WD SN750 nvme m.2 500 w/ heatsink
Data Drive: WD Blue 1TB ssd
Legacy Data Drive WD 750 Black
Linux Drive OCZ 240 ssd
Optical: DVD writer
The angled black cable below the video card is a usb 3 feed to a front hub giving the case front 3.0 ports, and an sd card reader which shows up as a drive. Went with WD m.2 for a few reasons. This one has the sink preinstalled so if and when I roll with a pici 4 board I'm set. It also really looks sharp with the board. A new windowed case down the road will be cool. The Blue drive is an excellent workhorse. The legacy drive I've had for a good 10 years, going strong no bad sectors. That is quality to me. I'm aware Samsung is a top shelf drive. Got one in my laptop, love it.
Hi,
Cool looks well doesn't really help the processor too much but it is eye candy
Tank you both this build is a pretty cool one it started out with issues but they all been worked out
