Thanks. This is my first custom loop and so far i've been very pleased with it (three years running). I've been building computers since the Athlon 1ghz and have always been fascinated with water cooling but was never quite confident enough in the hardware available on the market to *gag*... take the plunge. I had initially made the mistake of using soft tubing with compression fittings and after a year of fighting with the microfins getting clogged up with what i'm pretty sure was leeched plasticizer, i switched over to hard acrylic and never looked back. While it does take some trial and error to get the heating and bending technique down for acrylic, its well worth the effort. I considered PETG which is easier to work with, but it was incompatible with Mayhem's XT-1 Nuke (with uv dye), plus the softening point of PETG is low enough that a pump failure could potentially cause the tubing to deform near a block, causing the worst case scenario. Which reminds me, i need to order some new acrylic tubing for next week when i upgrade my cpu/mobo/ram as well as adding a larger reservoir. I may also re-do some of the bends to get them closer to 90' as possible.

Only thing about this upgrade i'm uncertain about is whether i should get the i5-10600K (6 core 12 thread) or i7-10700 (8 core 16 thread). I guess it all comes down to the price at Microcenter since they always have screaming deals on CPU/Mobo combos. 5ghz all core sounds like a good target.

That is a good target. Couple of the guys here are using custom water. I think about it..haven't taken the plunge as you said . I would go for the i7-10700 at least, just my two cents

I do not have photos of my PC case but instead showing the USB Hub, which is part of the system & I made it out of MDF to be sustainably sourced wood.

The optical drive is an internal drive powered by the pc like the caddy & power for the usb hub is just 12v so thought it was best to use switches to preserve the life of my components.

Also, the Sata caddy connects to the PC through a Sata to eSata 2 meter cable connected to Sata port 0 so I can use this as an external hard drive if I wanted to.
