    Ha, looks like we're all upgrading. I suppose I should announce then that I've brought an EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra! Yep took the plunge... I've had it shipped out from the US to NZ last Friday. It's currently just been cleared customs in NZ so I would not be surprised if it arrives this week! I think OldMike already knows.
    Congratulations again Kol12 ....yup you told me. Have fun with your new card. know you will.

    Thanks!! I am very excited. It just happens to be arriving the same week I have to send my monitor back to Asus for RMA #2 Hopefully as they likely will be replacing this time around I might have it back by the end of the week and the fun will begin!

    The 1080 Ti has served me so well and is still a very powerful GPU. However my ultrawide monitor at 3440x1440 is very tough to drive at high refresh rates (up to 100 fps) and even the 1080 Ti is starting to show some weaknesses as a single GPU setup. The 2080 Ti should definitely give me the edge going forward into 2019-2020 and Turing has some nice new stuff under the hood.
    That's unfortunate on the timing of the monitor RMA. Hopefully it's a nice quick process!

    Absolutely nothing wrong with the 1080ti, still a top card and will be for a long time. You are replacing your's with essentially the best 2080ti money can buy in my opinion anyway so you should have some great fun.
    I had my 1080ti for a little over a year and did have some fun with it and it was great for games it really was. I decided to change for 2 reasons. The 1st being I wanted to sell it before used prices dropped off really badly and I managed to do pretty well. I paid £730 for it and after the year of ownership managed to sell it for £580 which is not bad at all especially with the next gen already out. I think I have Nvidia to thank for that due to the crazy high prices of the 2080/2080ti. The 2nd reason is I got bored and want a new toy lol. I thought I would see how I get on with the 2080 but it's not quite powerful enough so it will be going back in the next few weeks. I am unsure of what 2080ti I will get yet. The FTW3 is I think a little out of my price range. I will see what deals are around at the time anyway.

    @paulpicks21

    I'm debating whether I will sell my 1080 Ti FTW3. The 2080 Ti FTW3 was such an expensive purchase (over the top really) but I may need to offset and recoup some funds also. I kind of have an attachment to the EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3, IMO it's one of the greatest looking graphics cards ever. Anyway if I do not end up keeping it I have plenty of pictures and memories to look back on.
