    My mainboard is what's holding me back now, being it only has 6 VRM's for the CPU, and the BIOS doesn't have LLC(which I think, no MSI board does, from what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong on this point)

    My 6700K is set to 4.9 for daily use, and when multitasking, it doesn't even down clock(just some benchmarks & stress tests), but it doesn't get over 54, and idles at 20(my rear exhaust fan even shuts off then), plus it's pretty stabile, unless I try to benchmark an ISO in 7-Zip, then--- TOTAL FREEZE-UP!

    Just to give you all an idea, I'm currently updating my Hyper-V Insider Preview VM to 16193, have 4 tabs open in Chrome, playing Chrome, have Office 365 Outlook open doing my Emails, IMing with someone in Skype app all at the same time, and my CPU is only at 37C running at 4.901GHz.#

    Damn it! I need an ASUS Mainboard to benchmark, I think

    Thanks, I'll check the net this weekend.
    I found a possibility over here(in Germany) to buy online and use my bank to use a Euro Bank transfer.(I don't do business over the internet, that's my limit to how much I trust security, even though those bank institutions can get hacked too, at least there is no man-in-the-middle attacks).

    @Cliff S
    The Ultimate MSI Z270 Gaming M7 Motherboard Build Guide
    I went into the DigitALL Power menu so I could manually set Loadline Calibration. MSI is offering nine modes, with the lowest mode offering the most VCore compensation. Loadline Calibration (LLC) was developed to combat the VCore's droop under heavy load, which is there to keep the CPU within recommended power ranges and to avoid spikes in voltage. However, that droop causes a lot of instability when overclocking, and users figured out that removing the droop didn't greatly impact CPU life, so a few years ago LLC became a standard VRM option that is a must for overclocking.

    My Board is not a issue it actually gives performance that matches Asus
    The 6850k in general sucks at overclocking but..............

    If i cared to i could grab a 6900k when Skylake E comes around and for sure i'll have better luck

    It's the Price tag holding me back

    You could create a customize version of Win10 on a M.2 PCIe SSD, and not let it go online, uninstall and strip out EVERYTHING you can, turn of all security stuff, kill all unnecessary tasks, only install the absolutely needed software and drivers for overclocking. Total BarebonZ skeleton system, running in High Contrast mode and in advanced settings, visual effects set to best performance.
    (just brainstorming here)
