    ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming Question


    Hi, Iíve installed a ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard and noticed on the m.2 ports each as a pad about 1cm square, should it be removed?

    No, it's a Thermal Pad I believe. Can you post a pic?

    I tried finding a picture online but could not find one, as the m.2 port is hard to get to as I need to remove the graphics card from its bracket which is a pain to put back on. Anyone else have a picture or can find one similar to what Iím looking for as the old boards for ASUS donít seem to have these on the m.2 ports.

    Looks as if your right @Dude checked online and it looks like a small square thermal pad to keep the heat of the SSD.

    It looks like the below picture but a bit smaller.

    I have same thing on my MB, it is a heat transfer pad and should be used, don't forget to peel the foil of it first.

    I don't think it had any foil on it, if it still has the temps would be high, my temps range from 45C - 55C... Will have a good look on tuesday, when my new PSU comes.

Hi again. When I got my Asus strix 970 gtx on desktop the fan wouldn't spin but as soon as I started a game it would. At this point I didn't even have GPU tweak installed and would sound like it would go to 100% as soon as I opened up a game....
