    Ryzen 7 3700x temps

Hi, i have the new 3700 x and wondering what the temp of CPU should be .
I have been searching the web with mixed results, there are comments from everything from "60 degrees C is to hot to they have been military tested to 125 degrees C".
On HWINFO my reading after 3 hrs of world of warcraft are , Avg 63.2....Min 44.0 and Max 85.8.
I have also downloaded ryzen master and selected AMD Ryzen balanced setting in windows 10 power options.
I have also read that people are lowering the voltage in bios ( i have never done this) .
I have also changed my cpu and case fans fan curve in bios to be alot faster than stock.

CPU temp has many variables. And everyone has a different opinion on how hot it should be.
Additionally, the CPU's often have a built-in "shutdown" temp - at which point the CPU will shut off in order to prevent damage to the hardware. Additionally, repeated high temps can shorten the life expectancy of your hardware.

In my experience (IME), 60șC (for the CPU) is the point where things start getting hot. This means that it's the point where you should be taking a look at the system to see if there's anything causing a problem with the cooling system.

Again IME, when the CPU hits 80șC, there's definitely a need to fix/improve the cooling system (although short bursts may be acceptable to some)

Finally, if it hits 100șC - it's time to shut it off and do some really intensive troubleshooting of the cooling system

Years ago I was a hardcore system tweaker/overclocker (I even did the "pencil overclock" with my 1 gHz AMD Thunderbird CPU). I found that it was just too much work to keep the system tweaked/tuned than it was to just use stock settings/voltages. As such I've used a stock system for over 10 years with no serious issues presenting themselves.

HI , i just turned my cpu fans up more in bios and it is now average of 58 with a max of 67 ( while gaming) , my cpu shut off is 85.
I will turn all fans up even more but they are set 85 min 99 max in bios fan speed at the moment on a curve.
I got the cooler/cpu installed at my local pc repair shop, if it wont stay below 60 avg ill take it back to check its seated properly.
Also could it be that because it comes with pre applied thermal paste that a fresh application would make a difference(its only been installed for less than a week, new mobo, new cpu new cpu and new gpu).
Also should i select power saver in power options or will this just be to much of a performance loss?

Average of 58 with a max of 67 seems to be just fine to me.

As I haven't done this stuff in years, I'd suggest posting over here for more current suggestions: https://www.tenforums.com/pc-custom-...-overclocking/

Hi, high temperature can be cause by poor power supply. Remove the pc power cord from trail socket (if any)
and plug in directly to the wall socket and check the difference. It work for me.
