Ok thanks just wanted to make sure i was working it out correctly when buying .
Im still confused as when the other day i read it and post it at 1666 and now its showing only 1333.

    So if i got Corsair 16GB Kit (2x 8GB) DDR4-3200 UDIMM | CMW16GX4M2C3200C16
which apparently is compatible with amd https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Catego...6GX4M2C3200C16

if my dram is actually 1333mhz (2666) it would be a 534 mhz upgrade but if my dram is 1666(3332) it would be about the same , i might have to opt out of the rgb as its getting to expensive and go for a 4000mhz.
But as i was saying i just want to use my current ram in my pc for my intel rig for the mrs , and get something the same or better for the amd rig.
Then im thinking well if im going to spend money i might aswell upgrade as much as i can afford.
Yes, 3200MHz would be just about ideal deal. For 3rd gen Ryzen about 3600 is said to be best buy but even 400MHz can be brought down to 3600MHz with better Cas latency making it as fast as lets say 3666MHz with higher latency.
Go for best buy instead of worrying too much about frequency, just look at MHz/$$ ratio at or above 3200MHz.

Hi, yes i did watch it , and was originally going to go with the 3600x for $120 cheaper , my concern was the cooler , i have read a number of times they are not so great , i then looked at replacing the cooler , but the coolers to buy separately are $100+ here.
So i thought its either get a 3600x and a separate cooler, or for the same price get the 3700x that comes with a better cooler.
If the 3600x came with the cooler from the 3700x id be buying the 3600x hands down

If not for extreme quiet, I'm not sure you need and after market cooler, under NDA AMD didn't let accredited testers use anything but OEM coolers. With such early BIOS versions it is really important to limit voltage manually because many just push to high under load and that has impact on temperatures.

Another reason i prefer the 3700x cooler is aesthetics , i will always pick performance first , but i like the look of the wraithe prism overall including the rgb.

I had it for a while on my 1700x while I was waiting for mounting kit for Cooler master. Worked and looked great but didn't allow for much of OC. It has RGB and USB connector for it's control if there's no RGB on the motherboard. It also has a Silent run switch on it. 3700x has same TDP so it shouldn't pose a problem.

Yes i did see the silent switch which is a great idea, and i will OC my vega 56 but not concerned to much about OC on the cpu , i mainly want to be able to run my games and the newer games coming out this year at higher settings and on my 1440 monitor as well as have a second pc for the mrs , so if i purchase all the things on my list i will be able to do both quite comfortably .(fingers crossed)

3700x (even 3600) are more than a match for Vega 56. no bottleneck there.
