Is my CPU running too hot?

I have an Intel NUC. Recently, shortly after I started watching video in Firefox, the computer shut down suddenly. I suspected that it was thermal overload, so the next time I started my computer I looked at the CPU temps using Open Hardware Monitor. They range from 60C to 95C depending on CPU load. (Around 70% CPU load was 95C). That seems hot to me. Is that correct?

What can be done to correct this, if so? Perhaps my case has gotten dusty? Perhaps I could replace the CPU fan?

Sounds like it is overheating. Take a look at the heatsink and see if it is full of dust bunnies.
I take my computer once a year outside and blow out all the dust because of overheating.

Also, make sure that the fan(s) are spinning and unobstructed. As Sven1458 noted, the dust could play a large role and if enough has built up it could completely obstruct airflow from the fan or even prevent the small type fans typical in a NUC from spinning.

    That is way too hot.
By all means check the fan is working properly and clean out dust, but that is all rather removed from the CPU. Depending on that scenario you may also have to re-attach the heatsink/cooler to the CPU with new heatsink compound.

I've actually experienced this on NUCs. The fan not spinning is easily enough to lead to thermal shutdown. It's pretty tight quarters and a fan failure can lead to overheating surprisingly quickly.

What is nuc ? Your cpu can boil eggs. My cpu temp never go beyong 40 oc, I used a cooler master 212 led heatsink and my pc is plug into wall socket not trail socket for better power.

    Here -

    Intel(R) NUC

Some thermal issues have multiple causes. These temps are quite abnormal.
