    USB 3.0 or 2.0 ?


    I want to know how to find out my casing front port is USB 3.0 or 2.0 ? Thank you.

    Usually thats true but not always.

    I use a utility called USB Device Tree Viewer, which gives a lot of very detailed information about the USB devices attached to your system. If you dig deep enough, it will tell you what is what.

    What Samuria meant to say was the easiest way to tell is to look at the ports and if they have a blue plastic piece inside they are USB 3.0. The other way is to read the owner's manual for the case.

    Thanks, my casing is not those diy branded type, there is not manual, I brought it because of it outlook which attracthed me. My usb front ports don't have blue plastic so I think it is usb 2.0.

    In that case, just look at cables form front to the MB.
    USB1 to 2 are small with 8 wires but 10 places for contacts.
