USB 3.0 or 2.0 ?

    Hi there
    another often overlooked and simple way if the USB ports aren't blue is to see if they have the symbol s.s with a little picture on them (super speed) --these will be USB3 / USB 3.1 ports.

    Of course another way is to plug a USB HDD in to a port and try copying a decently sized file -- the USB 2 port will transmit data much slower than a USB 3 one.

    USB 3.0 ports are usually blue in the front of the case unless specified, but that's very rare because the header for it to the mohterboard is actually for USB 3.0.
