    Razer Blade 15.6 2018 1070 Max-Q Upgrade Questions

    Hi Guys,

I finally got to finish all my upgrades in my Razer last night. I installed 2 x HyperX 2666 CL15 (2x16), Evo 2TB NVMe stick. I removed all the stickers from RAM and NVMe Drive and re-did all the thermal padding over the Ram, NVMe and VRM.

One thing though is I added a thermal pad to my VRM. Think it's a good idea or I should pop the thing back open and remove it?

I'm also running a successful undervolt offset of -0.0150.

    Thanks for the advice.

I personally don't think thermal pads do much but it doesn't hurt to use them. The principle concept is there and putting them on the components that get hot will surely be better than running nothing at all, even if its a negligible gain. So using them on a VRM is going to help rather than hinder it in my eyes, though to what degree it helps I'm not sure. But why not..I say leave them there.

Thanks, there was already one on the previous NVMe, I just added a few more on other components. I know it doesn't help much but if you say it doesn't hurt, I'll leave it as-in then. Thanks for the reply.
