    HDMI port on laptop


    My Lenovo ideapad 310 laptop has an HDMI port and I presumed that it is for connecting to a separate monitor, or tv.
    On another forum, a topic regarding a digital microscope with an HDMI output rather than the common USB one. Would one of these microscopes work with my laptop?

    No. The HDMI ports on the microscope and the laptop are video output only, not inputs.
