    Laptop Coolers

I may have posted this question in wrong area.

What do people recommend to cool 17.3" Laptop?

I have been looking at laptop coolers but do not want one that has coloured led lights in it and it has to be reliable and actually cool.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for all suggestions.

This type Amazon.com: OPOLAR Laptop Fan Cooler with Temperature Display, Rapid Cooling, Auto-Temp Detection, 13 Wind Speed(2600-5000RPM), Perfect for Gaming Laptop, Nintendo Switch: Electronics is much better at cooling than conventional, stand type.
Problem with stand type coolers is that they rarely blow into bottom intake grill of a laptop where it's most needed, in best cases just partially or with only one fan.

This is all good but if your laptop is relatively thin then the OPOLAR Laptop Fan Cooler is of no use.

    Any other ideas?

Thank you for all info given.

If you are one of the very few lucky owners of a laptop that can be disassembled somewhat easily, you might want to think about applying a better thermal paste to the CPU(and GPU chip if it has a discrete GPU) like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut that doesn't cure and get hard over time.

Hi, I undervolted my Razer Blade 2018 1070-Max Q by a offset of -.0150 with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Your mileage may vary depends on your CPU. The software will need to boot for each restart for this to take effect.

Undervolt it gradually, test stability until you reach max and go a step back up if it becomes unstable. (NEGATIVE OFFSET, not positive) There's no danger doing that. This helped my thermals for CPU. Thin laptops are notorious for heat. I did the same with my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin.

As for the cooler, , especially in bed I use this from Amazon (link below), but it has blue fans, but it's dead silent. Might find a similar version with no lightning. Mine was 25 bucks, powered by USB and has a 2 USB-A hub. (Edit, you can turn off the lights on the model I purchased, never noticed it before hehe)

And as mentionned earlier in the thread, if you feel courageous, re-paste the thing.

    I’m currently using this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My 17” laptop just fits, the wind speed & working fans can be adjusted but it does have red lights which I don’t think can be turned off.
