    ASUS Motherboard specific

Hi, This forum is my go-to for many things, but this time my question is ASUS motherboard specific.
Can anyone guide me to a solid forum where I might be able to ask about my ASUS board?
    I have 2 questions
    1. In UEFI, select XMP 1 or XMP 2 if I'm using ASUS' AI Overclocking feature? (or is this value selected automatically by the AI Overclocking)?
    2. Do I have to keep AI Suite 3 running in the background at all times? Will it remain overclocked if I disable at Startup AI Suite 3? How much of my Windows resources is it taking for the AI Overclock feature to be "learning" about my use?

    Maybe the Asus forums: https://rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisp...-PC-Components

My primary system uses an Asus motherboard (Crosshair VII Hero), but I don't use the AI suite.

I expect that if you change settings using the application and then stop it, the settings will remain until Windows is restarted.

The A1 Suite has been know to cause more problems than it is worth...

I don't use it either. I have a ROG Maximus VIII Hero motherboard.

Have used it for many years and motherboards for fan control. I would never use it for an OC, but I have used it to tweak and test an OC. My OC is in BIOS.
    Never had an issue.

You do not have to keep AI Suite running for fan control, as there is an ASUS fan control service that does that once you have set it. I am not sure on the OC though - since there is no service for that I assume you have to have AISuite run with a profile.

XMP 2 is usually a bit more aggressive from my recollection..

When I used to work BSOD threads I have solved many of them by simply uninstalling AI Suite and nothing else.

I agree with everyone else as you should delete AI Suite ASAP in my opinion. Choice is yours of course.
    Asus Apex X here.

I also suggest you use Revo Uninstaller to remove your AI Suite, it is the very Best at removing every trace of your AI Suite.

Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
