Long Shutdowns, Crashing, and Freezing, HELP!
What's up guys!
So I'm having an issue with my PC that I can't figure out. With my hardware overclocked, if I go to sleep the PC, it takes about 1min 30seconds for it to actually go to sleep and it seems that it freezes in the process. The monitor shuts off and doesn't display anything while the PC remains on. Once I wake it and use it, if I go to shut it down it does 1 of 2 things. 1: the screen will shut off and PC remains on for about 2 mins until it clicks off. Or 2, it will display "shutting down" message for about 30 seconds, freeze, then click off about a min or 2.
I've tried changing the display port cable, I've set ram settings all to auto, I've tried using only 1 ram stick in different slots, and the last thing I'm trying now is reset defaults in bios. Still testing it.
So far I've updated the bios with latest version, I've reinstalled and updated IME and Chipset drivers. No luck so far.
Idk if this is a windows issue or a hardware issue? If I go into event viewer, there an ACPI 15 event that says to try and update the bios. I'll post below:
"The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS."
After I installed all my new hardware, I did do a clean install...
Help! Lol
