I had to make a change to the post I made above concerning this, as Mokichu just posted this at ROG to someone else:
So if it is only a firmware update, it might be good, but if it is a BIOS with new firmware, well j΄then it isn't good to try.The Intel ME firmware consists of 2 parts, one CODE (global) and the other DATA (manufacturer specific). The Intel tool used to flash the Intel ME firmware (FWUpdLcl64.exe) only flashes the CODE part, the DATA portion is not affected and remains as ASUS has configured on the latest flashed BIOS.
I believe the ones Mokichu uploads in the forums are the generic ones, you need yto ask him though if you can use it on your Gigabyte board, PM him is probably best.
