    Hopefully it doesn't less volts lower temps, the longer you can max a clock without throtteling
    Have you tried some render testing using Blender Classroom or pabellon_barcelona_v1.scene_?
    Don't have those....at least I don't think I do. I use Performance Test 9.0 mainly to test stability. That will crash this rig everytime if I have anything set to low.

    It's not to test if it BSODs when set low, I used it to check temps, as these two take a while longer to render than that peasant software Cinebench

    I lowered it another .05 then ran AID64 stability test for about 6mins....with my voltage lower than what you had...I think.

    Think I'll pass on that feat ....I'll be happy IF I can get to 5.4 with this new bios.

    I don't understand, with my ring down bin on auto my cache clock only goes to 4.6 not the 4.7 I set.

    Has anyone checked their InSpectre status lately? I appear to be neither Spectre or Meltdown protected but have the latest Asus Z390 XI Hero BIOS. Did I disable it and forget to re-enable it?

    You can check in the Registry if it is enabled.

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

    0 = Enabled

    Use my Manage Speculative Execution Settings Script. The script displays all the relevant registry values.
    Download Manage Speculative Execution Settings Script - MajorGeeks

    The script also contains reset and restore functions.
