    I got a really good Inspiron 5675 last year for $1000. Now I'm starting 2019 with a new case, mobo, and PSU for dirt cheap and moving all the good parts over to the new system. It's actually a really good way to go. I think your XPS will handle a 8700K just fine. You can always buy a decent aftermarket cooler if needed. Those XPS boxes have a little room for one. I have two XPS 8910's.

    Hi,
    Not sure how to juice a non K system
    Memory/ new ssd's/ better cooling ?
    This might help with the memory max the GHz out.
