    PBO = Precision Boost Overdrive. Automatic frequency boost when needed. Pure frequency doesn't matter for long time now, it's all about number of cores/threads and IPC (instructions Per Clock) and Threadripper has a lot of both. Temperature has to be under control as best performance boost is at abut 62 - 65c.

    AMD chips this time around are only able to be locked at max speed
    I have a first Gen Ryzen that is a 6 core that beat the dog crap out of my 6850k

    Anyway AMD can't get those super overclocks like Intel can but they can beat them in performance without high core clock that in itself is better than running high Ghz

    Hi,
    Yeah 3600C16 is supposed to be the sweet spot
    Think the other dude was mostly dreaming or just thinking single channel lol running 2-4 sticks at 4400c19
