Don't you need a new CPU for the Apex? What water blocks? Which hosing?
    Hi,
Details are here on parts nothing wrong with my 9940x
Board it was in if the apex works is going back to micro center.
Order Placed! - (Your latest online purchase.) [2]

Have to make another cold plate for the vrm's though apex is very different
Got some 3/8-3/8 x 12" copper and 3/4-3/4-12" as well on order if I decide to just make it all one piece instead of laminating the 3/8-3/8 on the top side of the universal heatkiller vrm block.

System is burping air out now
Almost ready to fire the apex up see if it works

That's quite impressive, although with LN I suppose anything is possible. Anyway I'm a Corsair Dominator fan, but I've always heard great things about G.Skill's Trident modules. Not really a fan of the design, but I do hear those modules perform quite well.

Starting in a minute or so, trying to get an AMD 3900X 12 core/24T above 5GHz
Personally I do not like AMD stuff, but this is XOC

    Hi,
x299 Apex I finally got it registered with asus for the remainder if it's warranty so it's a keeper seller went the extra mile story still unclear though but what ever it works costs about the same as the cheapo x299 tuf mark 2 did and now I can return it for store credit

Still waiting for copper to make a vrm cold plate for the water block it do need one for sure last 4.8 I did vrm's hit at 86c with a fan on them running 3k rpm
