Lack of the 6 Pin connector could mean the GPU is attempting to pull more power though the MOBO than the manufacturer allows ? Possibly that's why it's not on the approved list ? "Looks to be the same memory" isn't the same as the Exact Model Number. As @TrashZone posted, AMD can be "really finicky". Anyone building a new Rizen Rig should pay careful attention to what's on their particular MOBO Model's list of Compatible Devices.

    Hi,
Yeah might indeed be trying to pull too much power from the pci-e slot
4gb card will always have secondary power
1-2gb card might be more reasonable for no secondary power connection if it were only one fan or static cooling which has no fan.

Memory wise link to the exact memory you bought if it doesn't say AMD compatible then you're likely out of luck
Refer to it's qvl= qualified venders list and see if your mother board is listed.

No Ive tried Linux with the same result of freezing on the loading screen
When you tried booting Linux did you have the Win 10 OS drive Disconnected ? You never said what type drive it was. I don't keep up a lot with the latest technology so I was wondering if having the wrong M2 drive installed could also cause the problem ?

Don't think the RAM is compatible. BIG mistake by Newegg ? You can contact G.Skill Support as well as MSI Support to check. Check out how these descriptions are written: ryzen, 16GB (2 x 8GB), G.SKILL, DDR4 2400, Desktop Memory, Memory, Components - Newegg.com

EDIT: I'd advise taking a snip of the Overview Before requesting to RMA

    Hi,
No mention at all about AMD matter of fact it says optimized for Intel platform so yeah ram no good for you
    Code:
Extreme performance DDR4 memory designed for gaming and PC enthusiasts

Optimized compatibility with DDR4-compatible Intel Core platforms
You'd have to get something like this that states AMD
    G.SKILL Flare X Model F4-2400C15D-16GFXR - Newegg.com
