    Hi,
Probably no new bios for z170 same for x99 but even x99's last beta bios was pretty bad
Vccio cpu pushed to 1.25v is wild just for increasing ram speed or using xmp profile is way too much just about everyone says 1.15v should not be used

@OldMike65 what is the maximum setting range for the CPU Over Current Protection on your motherboard?

It may have only done it to our X299`s, it didn`t do it to my Z170.

Funny thing is, after it was done, my Bios is still the same
    Hi,
I show 1603 is available 11-30-2018 so another weird one you weren't flashed to it and was already on 1503
Micro code update doesn't flash bios even if that is all it did.

    Hi,
According to newegg I won sucker of the year award for buying too much ram in one year so they gave me a 50.00 promo card lol
Might put it on the new star wars game or something

No idea ...yet, only had this chip a couple hours ....my motherboard can handle anything quite well all by itself.
