I always thought cards had to be identical, and one day with DX12 you could mix. Never heard of different cards working so far

I seem to recall that Nvidia said something similar when the new cards were first released. I can't find where though.

This says you can SLI a 2080 and a 2080 TI, which give you hope.

Maybe not. It says No you can't, which has always been the case. But I still thought they said you could at one point.

We reached out to NVIDIA to check whether SLI is possible between -A and non-A GPUs, and the company promptly confirmed that such setups are possible indeed. Good! Just to clarify, that doesn't mean that you can SLI the RTX 2080 with the RTX 2080 Ti (which nobody would expect anyway).

Interesting talk I had with an EVGA tech a few days ago, was asking him some questions after I 1st got my 2080Ti card, and I menioned that my old 1080Ti card had all the rear ports covered with dust covers. Told him you would think when Evga asks over 1400 dollars for this Top of the Line card, they would at least cover all the ports with dust covers, as it comes with none, all the ports are open to dust and smoke or whatever....Well.....he agreed with me, told me he would look into it. I recieved in the mail yesterday from EVGA a small bag with all the dust covers for all the different sized ports on the back of this card !!! Took them about 6 days from the day I asked the tech till I got these dust covers....was kinda surprised to get them.
Also this card comes with a 5 year warranty....for a few extra bucks you can increase it to 10 Years..... which I did. Never knew you could up the warranty.

No dust caps? That's very bad. Are you serious? I'd be content with the 5 yr warranty but who's knows what you might be doing with a 2080 Ti in 10 years...

P.S. EVGA are very good with their warranty service.
