A Funny Way To Overclock Your Device !!!

So I managed to acquire one of those brand-less 7 Ports USB 3.0 hub with adapter that I thought was very cheap yet nobody was complaining about it (except for the low quality of material) . So by testing I figured that it is able to read up to one external hard drive at a time with almost full transfer rate yet on plugging more externals it can only recognize up to 2~3 externals with snail transfer rate up till I plug the adapter and then transfer rate boosts up to 90 MB/s flat which appears to be very convenient .

This isn't the point though , the point is I started noticing that since I had the device the performance of the laptop increased significantly , troubleshooting what lead to that I realized I get such performance when the USB hub adapter is plugged , when un-plugged performance tune down to normal . I even tried to benchmark it to realize I had a 24% increase in over all performance .

Of course I can tell how this managed to happen , its simply that this garbagety Chinese device doesn't manage to filter power inflow into the laptop causing the overall Volts and Amperage to increase through out the circuits of the mother board . Volts and Amperage plays a well known role in over clocking so it is clear that this hub is causing what appears to be a "Manual" over clocking to the device .

I am wondering though for how long the board can take this ? I mean I browsed 1000s of reviews over amazon & ebay trying to see if someone complained of fried boards but yet no one did , but still I feel something is fishy .. so what do you think about this guys ?!

P.S : this device is marketed to be bundled with 0.5V 4000A adapter , however this seller sent me a 0.5V 1000A instead which didn't bother me much since it worked . Just thought to let you know in case someone wants to reproduce/experiment with this .

That sounds pretty crazy! What benchmark are you using to see the increase in performance? Are you monitoring CPU temperatures and clock speeds?

Novabench - Free Computer Benchmark Software and nope but btw since I often play games I have a vaccum & pad cooling system so the temperature is often normal for me even when i am stressing it .

And again, Are you monitoring CPU temperatures and clock speeds?

I haven't used Novabench for some years but I believe it tests most components individually such as CPU, GPU, Ram, HDD etc. I assume the 24% increase in performance is on the overall score. Can you test to see which of the components is seeing the biggest increase?

For a reason now its down to 12~14% just but meh I don't even understand the logic behind it , maybe i had less or more external drives plugged at earlier benchmarks but still 12~14% isn't so bad :)
