    have built

The attachment shows the parts of a tower I need but cannot build. Retail components are more expensive than the ones this store can get, also.
    The labor is $150.
The warranty - within 1st year, with the parts warranty $200. no cost for repairs.
No warranty and first labor is covered but parts cost me.
    I do no gaming.

It says two years but that part I have to clarify as I don't understand it.

Total of the prices you list: 1158, excluding any warranty, excluding labor of 150.

That's a good total for those parts--about 50 cheaper than a well known online dealer.

    BUT...........

    Did you pick those parts?

You don't need anything remotely near 850 watts. You could save 30 bucks probably by dropping down to 450 or 550 watts.

Cases are very personal. I assume you've seen the case and approve. It may have a window and I'm not sure you'd want that.

You've chosen a VERY strong processor. You could save maybe $70 or 80 by dropping back to a strong processor (i5-8600K) and likely not notice the difference.

Not sure why you've gone with a K series processor if not overclocking. You could save a few more bucks by avoiding a K series.

You've chosen a so-called "gaming" motherboard. Not sure why, but 168 is a good price for it.

Cooler: not the one I'd choose, but 30 is tolerable.

I'm not commenting on your warranty situation as you and I are both confused by the terms.

Normally--I'd say no to extra charges for any warranty as you should get parts coverage for at least 1 year on the parts from the manufacturer. I'd take a chance on paying for any labor if the only other choice is to pay 100 or more for a labor warranty. But, as I recall, you are very much in favor of paying for a warranty.

It's a good pile of parts and a fair price for the parts alone. I guess 150 for assembly labor is tolerable in this day and age.

My only questions are the warranty situation and the necessity of that processor and that power supply

I am glad that for the most part you approve so I don't get ripped off. I want to build a VM so went for components to support it. May be a bit over done.

Warranty = they said for two years no money out of my pocket and to bring it to them.

Should I get Windows Pro NOT OEM? Hate to spoil the deal but if important I could ask. It was just an after thought.
    Thank you for your help.

What video card do you see? I don't see one.

    The poster doesn't game.

The $150 is to assemble the machine. The poster is just buying parts, but not building anything and doesn't want to.

If you mean you want to run VM on this PC it depends what software you will use. Hyper-V only runs on (and is included in) Windows 10 Pro - either retail or OEM. VMWare/VirtualBox will run on either Home/Pro.

OEM is just a cheaper version of the retail Pro license which is tied to that PC while the full retail license you can move from PC to PC when you get a new one.

I'd stick with OEM Pro version (as in your picture) as Microsoft are pretty relaxed about transferring licenses anyway (for example if you replace your motherboard because it breaks) unless you are really planning on continually replacing parts.
