Longer Lasting Laptop Battery (HP) possible?

Energizer bunny/battery jokes aside, the battery I have for my HP laptop at full capacity will last me close to 3 hours (really along the lines of 2:45 something), but beyond using power banks, is there a laptop battery out there that can last longer than 3 hours for my HP laptop, or am I stuck with what I got unless I get a new laptop?

Here is a link to its support page

Which battery do you currently have, they list a long life one at the website

There are, or used to be, optional batteries that gave longer charge times but usually physically larger as in 9-cell versus the 6-cell. They did make the Notebooks a bit heavier but also being larger/thicker propped the Notebooks higher on the hinge side [bonus was they made it a little easier for typing].

ok, I expected the amazon webpage for that battery to be up to make it easier, but here it is from my previous orders

    Anker High Performance 5200mAh/58Wh Laptop Battery for HP G32 G42 G42T G56 G62 G72 G4 G6 G6T G7; HP Presario CQ32 CQ42 CQ43 CQ430 CQ56 CQ62 CQ72; Envy 17; HP Pavilion DM4 DV3-4000 DV5-2000 DV6-3000

I can't examine my battery for its serial number at this moment, as the laptop its attached to is running an erasure operation on a 2 tb laptop drive for security reasons, but when its finished, I can provide whatever number is needed

You seem to have a pretty high watt battery, have you looked at your power plan to increase battery life?

    Go to
HP Notebook PCs - Purchasing a Replacement Battery
HP Notebook PCs - Purchasing a Replacement Battery | HP® Customer Support
--- In the Order a replacement battery online through the HP Parts Store section see what they list.

    Find the notebook product number.
Different notebook models require different batteries. Before ordering a battery, you need to know the product number of your notebook to determine the part number of the replacement battery. To find your product number, use HP Support Assistant or locate the product number on the product label.

    Another thing you can do,
I have an HP laptop. Press ESC upon boot-up or restart. Select FI. System information includes the product number specific too your laptop.

    EDIT
Battery information in your HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02720306

Battery descriptions & spare part numbers for your make/model
    Go to page 31, 38 & 52/130

I called anker support just now, and they can confirm that they don't make the battery I have anymore; plus, with how its been acting (screen has been flickering too many times for my taste), I don't think ill be keeping it for much longer. took it apart, readjusted the connector cables to the monitor and motherboard 3 times, then took it to a computer repair shop; its a pain; ill get a job, sell the laptop on ebay, and buy a different laptop which will last longer (if not, ill look for a longer lasting battery for whatever model I buy

    sorry for wasting a topic

Most notebooks now days come without a removable battery at all. the days of putting in larger batteries are long gone. If you want long lasting you need to go for a tablet there built for long-lasting on battery
