    I got this computer

What kind of power supply do I need for the GTX 1050? The cords and everything is different than the power supply I once had.

Heres a picture of the power supply. (If that helps)

The new one that's in my computer currently. (My GTX 1050 isn't compatible with it)

You need a 500-550w power supply for a 1050 ,You're system is crippled with a 320w power supply that is only meant to run IGPU it wasn't made for gaming also FYI i would add at least another 8gb of ram

Honestly i would swap it out and get a whole new set that is compatible this is a Refurbished PC

Is the "old" 600 watt Thermaltake shown in the second picture defective?

No, That power supply works fine but it's not compatible. Can't hook it up to the motherboard due to the cords being different.

My motherboard is the Hewlett-Packard and the model is 18E4

The problem with that is it's a HP and they have power supplies that only fit their cases that looks like a slim case not the average PC size they have higher wattage supplies but you might need to contact hp

The other option is to pull that power supply out and see what size it really is you can stick any other one in there if it is a regular psu and if it does work that way get a quality one but make sure it will fit correctly

Again you bought a HP they have a gimmick that they make sure you can't do it yourself unless you have their special tools

You need to see if they can sell you a compatible one with higher voltage
