ok on the m.2 ssd too :)

any ryzen processor supports the m.2 ssd, 7th gen athlon does not support the PCIe ssd
found this in the GA AB350m DS3H manual on page 15
why gigabyte felt they needed to confuse this is beyond me
full manual can be found here (for future search reference)

i would have bought it, should have searched for it. it just pissed me off that it wasn't included
an adapter plate would be a $0.25 item if included with the psu

this thermaltake core v21 case was obviously designed to have an optical drive
they just never put a hole in the cover or sell a bracket for it

caselabs makes a bracket for their flexbay system that i may use. i'd need to remove the cover to use the dvd rw drive, but i rarely need it other than to make mp3 cd/dvd's for my vehicles or load dvd software

m.2 ssd came yesterday... fired right up

restart time varies from 30 to 34 sec, cold boot is approx 24 sec, i'm happy with that
been looking at all the customization hints here and the net to make win10 a little friendlier
gigabyte has a fastboot program, after reading the reviews i decided against it, mostly cuz you loose access to the bios
the 2 sec i'd save isn't worth it, i loaded the drivers and passed on the rest of the gigabyte app utilities
