    Hi,
You stated a budget of 900.us so that is what I went off of
Post the address of the micro center from the website listing and we can look for you.
I already posted a couple links to their store just switch the location and say what it is

You have to find out if "virtual box" requires an i7 in the 3.7 range with 16 GB of RAM.

Both machines are quite powerful and beyond what most need, but you need to hear from virtual box users.

    Micro Center in Rockville

I would pay less if I can have some of the features such as I mentioned like Windows 10 Pro, maybe blue tooth, usb 3, DVD read/writer , Intel, virtualization, decent RAM ? 12 GB, PSU ?500+, SSD for windows and small HDD.
I have mouse and keyboard but theses come with them.
I was told bloatware is minimal, just Micro Center.
The sales person said it would cost more to have them build.
I am not rich and would pay less if I could get a decent machine. All the big boxes are full of bloatware and I am leery of parts. I am here for help as I obviously do not know much about what to buy.

How much storage space do you require?

Depending on the answer, you might be able to do fine with just a 128 GB SSD and no standard hard drive.

Or you may need much more. We don't know your requirements.

It looks like 900 bucks is near the best you can do there IF, I say IF, you need an i7 K model, 16 GB RAM, and a separate video card.

But I've played around on that site only for a few minutes.

HP Pavilion 590-p0071 Desktop Computer - Micro Center

Above is $770; an i7 but not a K model; with 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 1 TB HD, but apparently no separate video card.

Are you absolutely locked into Microcenter, rather than say a Costco store or Dell online?

Would you consider Best Buy and a Dell?
I know you get what you pay for and I am not rich but I came here b/c I really don't know whee to go. I thought having one built at Micro would be a good idea but I guess not.
It keeps saying the message is too short so I am typing more.

There's generally nothing wrong with Microcenter as far as I know, but................I would at least look 2 or 3 other places.

Dell Online and Costco come to mind. Costco if you don't want to do online. Just walk through there and make note of specs and exact model numbers and post back here.

Maybe even look at Costco online and then see if you can buy that exact same machine at your Costco store.

But if you insist on Virtual Box, then you still need to get comments from those who use it. I assume that's a virtual machine gizmo of some kind and that stuff might appreciate an i7 K model, a separate video card and the 16 GB of RAM.

What led you to price an i7 rather than an i5? A salesman?

But the typical home user is fine with an i5 and 8 GB of RAM and maybe 500 GB total storage unless they are big into video files. Maybe a $600 to $800 machine.

Why do you need Win 10 Pro rather than Home?

    >>I don't belong to Costco but coud join

    >>I was just looking at some virtual ware and Virtual box free seems to be simple and popular. I keep looking to see what it requires but cannot find that out. Free Ware is OK too from what I have read. I need a virtual program I can test apps out without them installing in my system.
What led you to price an i7 rather than an i5? A salesman?
    >>Yes he seemed to think that would be the one but I wanted i5 if it would do what I wanted and spend the $ elsewhere.
But the typical home user is fine with an i5 and 8 GB of RAM and maybe 500 GB total storage unless they are big into video files. Maybe a $600 to $800 machine.

    >>I agree with you. I know it sounds like virtual machine is a stickler but it is the only way to test apps without installing them. I do not know how to get a PC that will support virtualization but not be too costly - it could be as you said. I guess the sales guy inflated my idea.
Why do you need Win 10 Pro rather than Home?
    >>There are limits to home I always bump into when I am using my PC. I cannot itemize them now but there really are. For one you cannot encrypt the machine if you ever wanted to -it is a weak example but the best I can do off hand.
Maybe I should just go to a big box store, get a Dell around $800 and do a clean install. I already have a keyboard and mouse with a new monitor. This may have been a wasted day bu thanks for your courteous help..
