    budget pc

    Hello Forum.

I'd like some information regarding an All In One PC, I mainly just need it for Microsoft office, powerpoint. No heavy task will be burdened with what I am after. Im looking between the $500-700$ (Australian Dollars) budget. If I need to spend $1000 and not have to worry about performance the so be it. But It has to be an All In One. So any suggestions about the specs, or anyone has an All In One which is satisfied with the overall experience?

    Thank you.

    Thanks for the replies

You guys in the states are out of control with the variety of items you have, although we here in Australia have Asia as our neighbours, most products are not available for the Australian market. But similar products are on the same par with what I see on that website,

    Kind regards.

Im between these 2 PCs which are available in my Area:

    HP 23.8 All-in-One Desktop PC 2TB F0041A | Officeworks

    HP Pavilion 24-R047A 23.8" All-in-One Touchscreen PC | JB Hi-Fi

They're both on the $1000 budget, But as I had stated previously this will be for Microsoft home office. I'm spending a bit more, just to be safe it can run another software if needed.

    Hi there
Small form factor and works with Windows reasonably well -- has built in graphics / sound

HP proliant GEN 10 Microserver. You need to supply your own HDD's but small footprint make this quite an OK machine for the tasks you need to do. Will support 4 (easily accessible) HDD's, has 2 X USB3 ports at front and 1X Usb3, 1 USB2 at rear. 2 X lan connections and 2 Video output ports. You can use LAN->wifi if you want wifi instead of lan or simply plug LAN into wifi extender.

You can put an SSD instead of the space where a DVD goes and it will boot from SSD too.

I'm sure these things are available in 'Oz.

Here's UK link not sure what 'Oz dollar rate is but you can get an OK one for around 300 EUR.

    Tower Servers on Servers Direct

    Cheers

    Hello Jimbo

Interesting Microserver HP has come up with. But It's not what I'm after. At this stage a sufficient desktop for to run microsoft office is what I am after. I have posted 2 of the Desktops which are available in my region, so between the 2 which of the specs are better?

    Thank you.

The only real difference I can see is the the HDD size in the one is 2TB and the Other is 1TB and the one, (the other one ) has USB3 ports whilst the one with the greater storage has none.- In my opinion neither "difference" is enough to change a decision - the Drive can be upgraded later and a unless you have a lot of USB3 devices these are not an essential for word processing.

I'd see who wants your business most, see if either offer any discount or useful freebies
