Needing a little help with Power Supply

I have 2 computers that have the same Power Supply (Apevia 1100 watt Warlock). Now, i am assuming that's overkill and i'm just wasting electricity. Plus, I am wanting to go with Modular PSU's. Here is my system for my main computer:

What modular PSU and watts would you suggest?

    System Spec

A PSU rated for 1100W means that it can output a maximum of 1100W, not that it always draws 1100W from the wall. If your components are only using 300W then the PSU will only draw about 300W. So you're not wasting any electricity by having an oversized PSU.

One caveat is that the efficiency will be different between PSUs - Apevia does not publish the efficiency curve for this PSU so it's hard to compare to other models. So it's possible that you might some electricity by switching to a PSU that is more efficient at your expected load than the Apevia 1100W but there's no way to be sure unless you actually measure the efficiency.

Just looking at the R9 290s, 650 to 700 watts would be the recommended power requirement.

650 watt (at most) Seasonic. The Graphics card can draw 250W fully stressed and the PU 100W = 350W load total (see for instance http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages...hmarks,10.html ). Add on other stuff would get you 400W with everything fully loaded, which is not realistic. PSU calculators overestimate power requirements by quite a lot.

    Seasonics:

If you are overclocking I would get the 650W. If not the 550W.
