Anyone know if there is a system prep function when I for when I replace the motherboard? I don't want to have to reinstall Windows again if I don't have to.

Windows 10 has a feature to mimic the system you wanted to change the hardware on so when you use new hardware it should ask you which account type it in and walla it should work

By the way i am done building Pc's for a while i been working on my Truck for offroading so that's where my Turing money went

Oh no, I'm not talking about windows activation. That's easy. I'm talking about all the old drivers, etc.

I understand what you mean it's the same thing you will need to reinstall most likely as it will be like a fresh install

Ok so there won't be any conflict with the old drivers and performance loss?

Why aren`t you doing a clean install ?

You have built a nice PC their Patrick

As far as the PSU goes, you can get a EVGA 850 P2 for $119.99

EVGA - Products - EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 850W, Fully Modular , EVGA ECO Mode, 10 Year Warranty , Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply 220-P2-0850-X1 - 220-P2-0850-X1

    or a 1000 G2 for $119.99

EVGA - Products - EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2, 80+ GOLD 1000W, Fully Modular, 10 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply 120-G2-1000-XR - 120-G2-1000-XR

or a 1000 P2 for $259.99, that model is not on sale

EVGA - Products - EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 1000W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 10 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply 220-P2-1000-XR - 220-P2-1000-XR

For what you have now, and if you never plan to go SLI, I think a 850 will be fine, but for the same price, why not get the 1000 G2 Grab it while you can before the price goes back up.

    Hi,
I'd just do a refresh install personally it's just as good and keeps all your goodies.
My 1000P2 has some insane 12v rails on it lol
