OK, sounds good. The D5 is an excellent choice.

dope! hopefully after these parts and a little better cable management, it will look a lot cleaner.

    Hi,
Yeah I'd just leave it on the bottom but indeed a lot of people mount to the back or brackets for the front fans.

so, while i wait for intel 10nm CPU,
The last I checked (about 2 weeks ago), high end desktop 10 nm might not happen till very late 2019 or in the first half of 2020--at least a year and probably more.

    Does anyone have newer info?

I've got half a mind to rebuild then too, but can't find much about release dates.

    I guess 10 nm will use the LGA4198 socket, bye-bye to 1151?

Is that confirmed for mid and upper level desktops? Wondering if Noctua will send me a free mounting kit for the new socket, as I think they've done in the past.

There are a couple of reports out that claim Intel is making "great Strides" in its 10 nm fabrication and could be released earlier than expected. But, nothing confirmed and earlier could mean early 2019.

Also, I'm sure Noctua will send you a new mounting bracket. They have always done that in the past.
